Bastiaan Grisèl

I’m Bastiaan Grisèl - data engineer, creative developer, and founder of Creative Data Studio.

I help people connect with complex information by transforming data into experiences that are functional, immersive, and emotionally engaging.

With an MSc in Computer Science from TU Delft, I’m fluent in data workflows and know how to build systems that scale, from Python pipelines to immersive 3D environments. I’ve worked with teams at KLM, Volkswagen, and SMEs across industries to design tools that turn insight into action.

But what drives me is the creative side of data. I focus on interactive installations, visual storytelling, and ways to make people feel something through information. At Creative Data Studio, I explore how projection, sound, movement, and code work together to reveal what data really means.

I’ve developed projects using Unity, Unreal, and TouchDesigner, and I love collaborating with artists, curators, and technologists to bring ideas to life. Whether it’s a museum exhibit or a real-time simulation, I aim to build data experiences that inform and resonate.
